Hi all,

I need a need a simple, and totally inobvious addon which should record send & received in-game mails on the PC hard drive.
This addon is needed to track what is being exchanged between my 13 year daughter and a 25+ adult. The GM are not always THAT cooperative. I also know it is not the best way to handle such a situation, but this is the 2nd time that adult try 'something', and I am out of ressources.
This addon needs to be absolutely 'mute' on the interface level, and have a inoobvious name (avoiding 'MailLogger' or like name...)
Thanks for your attention

When i come near a deposit my rotating proximity arrows or whatever the hell you call that crap - those arrows that float around me all the time on my map from carbonite that are completely useless and only get in the waY turn into the mineral icon.
If i am dead then all three become graveyard icon. It's really like carbonite is major malfunctioning.
I can no longer mine minerals because carbonite keeps hiding the minerals from me.
Level 63 quest "by any means neccessary" shows question mark on map and nothing is there. Nothing. If you click on the quest round button it points you to a different place on the map which also has nothing there. Total malfunction. I paid last December your "subscription" amount so I am not a freeloader.

Totalbiscuit from WoW Radio alerted his Twitter followers about a new scam email that is making the rounds.

Essentially it is purporting to be some kind of "survey" with a in-game pet as a reward. However the link redirects to a Russian site that is not related to World of Warcraft or Blizzard. The email itself is very well put together and looks legit.

Screenshot of the email (thanks to WoWRadio):

As always Blizzard well NEVER ask for your account details in any email or other communication. If you are ever in doubt, manually enter the URL for World of Warcraft (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com for the US or http://www.wow-europe.com for the EU) as Blizzard will link promotions and information from the WoW front page.

From WoWRadio:

1) Blizzard will NEVER ask you for your login details. Be extremely suspicious of any email that links straight to a login screen that may look like the official account management page but does not have the same URL.

2) If an email that appears to come from Blizzard comes to an email that is not registered with your World of Warcraft and Battle.net account, then it is not official. Delete it.

3) Website links in phishing emails may be masked to trick you into thinking they are official. Before clicking anything, be sure to hover over the link and check the address at the bottom of your browser, NOT what pops up in the box next to it, since that information can be spoofed.

I am redoing my User Interface, and Carbonite was, of course, one of the first things I put in. If I could just solve this problem with the buttons, everything would be perfect. I have been working for hours on this, and I just can't seem to get things right. Complete reinstalls, restoring from backups, deletions of other addons, trying other addons... You get the idea.
Help me, please!

Hello,

I have several different things I take into account everyday when playing World of Warcraft that I have a designed Microsoft Word sort of “Question? If yes, do this.. If no, do this” and would like to create my own add-on in order to help me sort of simplify this process.

Some of you may respond with “stop being lazy, just alt tab” which I could do, but the advantages of having an add-on do this in-game has a greater advantage (ex: additional features that I would have to pen and paper from in-game to word) to make this process super simple. The issue is, I have some basic understanding of (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP, and also working hand in hand with SQL databases.

Although, I never worked closely with XML itself, I get a pretty good understanding of XML on the case of what’s doing what, why, and how; but when it comes to implementing any of that to work with WoW, I’m lost.
Basically all the add-on would be doing is basically stating a question, the result of the answer to that question will continue down the line with several different tips and such. I’m not asking for this to be created by you and handed down to me (If you’d like to do this, I’m more than interested… don’t get me wrong).

I’m just asking for a basic layout as far as what I do need to know, a sort of “this has more importance, so learn at least this before you move to this” will work. I’m not interested in starting a massive add-on project or anything like this, just a basic understanding to get the little things done for this current time, and I will begin to move up and expand should I feel the need for other custom add-on’s in which closely relate to what I am wanting to do or the such.

Sorry for such a long post, if you need any information on what exactly I’m trying to do, then feel free to ask and I will reply as soon as possible. I thank everyone of your views and responses ahead of time. =)

Hey all,

I've been looking into making an addon but i'm not exactly skilled or knowledgeable in lua to make what i want so i'm asking for to make this addon if they would want to. Heres the idea, an addon that would assist in making raiding easier by drawing lines onto the user interface but appear to be drawn onto the world. With this addon you would be able to draw lines flat to the world to help players with situational awareness and/or preplanning for boss fights new and old (well not too old but woltk boss fights.)

Ok how it would work. The addon would have 2 parts, a 2D design feature something like paint but over instance maps and a 3D part that would draw what was done in the 2D part onto the users view. The way the user interface works compared to the world is like looking through a window to the world outside, you cannot directly interact but you can calculate everything from the perspective of the person looking through the window.

Example on how the addon works - Imagine driving down the road in a car, you look out the window and draw a box around each tree you see but in real life you cannot draw a nice box around each tree so you draw on the window of the car. as the car moves the world outside would move as well and the boxes you drew on the window wouldn't be on the trees they needed anymore so you would have to erase the lines on the window and then redraw them back around the trees. make any sense?

I've figured out how a lot of the math would work but i cant figure out a way to put it into words on the screen.

If you want to give it a shot let me know ill be more then happy to try and horridly explain what i've figured out, or if anything doesn't make sense i'll try another way to explain.
